The Vehicle Charging Station Installation project, which was initiated in order to strengthen the infrastructure for electric vehicles at BMC Automotive's production campus in Izmir, was put into operation in 2022 and the work is still ongoing.
Within the scope of the project, the establishment of a high-capacity charging infrastructure for electric vehicles was targeted; medium and low voltage energy distribution systems, charging station panels, energy monitoring solutions, cabling and infrastructure connections were designed and put into practice in the field.
With the engineering solutions prepared specifically for the field, the efficiency and safety of the system were maximized; a sustainable, environmentally friendly energy infrastructure was created. This project has been one of the important steps supporting BMC's vision of transitioning to advanced technology and environmentally friendly production models.
